This command allows you to create a data fi eld by searching the scanned data
for a data string that matches a data string specifi ed in the formula. If a match
is found, the scanned data will be divided into three fi elds: the data from the
search start point to the character before the searched data string, the data
string itself, and the data remaining.
Characters that Constitute the Data String to be Searched for
In scanned data, to search for the data string ABCDE, enter:
... JG<ENTER>A<ENTER>B<ENTER>C<ENTER>
This means that scanned data “1234567ABCDEFG” will be divided into three
fi elds: 1234567 and ABCDE and FG.
This command allows you to add a character string to scanned data before
transmitting it to the host computer. The character string you add will be
transmitted as a separate data fi eld. (This command is optional.)
Characters that Constitute the Data String to be Added
In scanned data, to add one data fi eld “abcd” to the scanned data 1234, enter:
... JJ<ENTER>a<ENTER>b<ENTER>c<ENTER>d<ENTER> ...
This means that additional fi eld “abcd” can be added to output data string
